Great location and room. No frills. We got the key and were sent on our way. It was during the heat wave and our room was 2 flights of stairs up and the room was hot. But the next day it cooled off fine with the weather change. The windows are skylight type that open over the bed. Can't keep them open more than 2 or 3 inches when its raining. Very clean. Great price. It would benefit to install a ceiling fan. They did put a basic fan on the desk. I imagine, however, it prob isn't needed that often.

What an absolute gem of a find. There was nothing I can fault about the guesthouse, the staff or the restaurant. The hotel is like a tardis, looks small from the outside but hosts many rooms! We had a lovely stay in Room 10, at the top …

We had a fabulous stay at Davitt’s. We had a mishap with arriving during the check-in window and David was kind enough to call and ensure we were okay, told us to drive safe, and arranged for us to seamlessly check-in late. Many reviews mention the hospitality being exceptional, and they’re right. We couldn’t have felt more welcomed. The room was comfortable, clean, and had excellent water pressure in the shower. Breakfast was easy, huge, and tasty. The location is exactly where you would want to be in Kenmare. You’ll be able to walk to everything and the view out of our window was on to a charming street. My one regret is that we didn’t have another night there!

If you’re planning a trip to Kenmare, I’d highly recommend you stay in Davitts! Dave is brilliant and so welcoming, you will feel right at home. Davitts is in the centre of town and surrounded by lovely shops and restaurants so location wise, it’s perfect. Our room was clean, tidy and very comfortable. We had breakfast the morning after our stay which was also delicious so I would absolutely recommend the food here too. Overall the staff, rooms and food were amazing, can’t recommend this place enough.

We had evening meal here this evening.
The food was reasonably priced all 4 different dishes were excellent.
The restaurant was very comfortable with nice decor.
Friendly helpful staff.
